The County’s 65+ population has grown by 67% in the last 20 years. Recent closures of three nursing homes has resulted in the County being short over 300 beds or 60% of the beds needed for the population. On November 20, 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Lynne Barnes, a member of the steering committee of Advocates for Aging Care (AAC), discussed what AAC and others are doing to close the gap and to provide the care that is and will continue to be needed.
