You're Invited!  Help with Get-Out-The -Vote Events in June and July

The Primary Election is June 28. LWVCC teams are mobilizing to get information out to voters and encourage participation. Volunteers are needed to spread the word.

Distribute Get-Out-the-Vote flyers to Local Businesses 

Flyers, directions, and a list of businesses will be provided. You choose the date and time to distribute your packet between June 1 and June 25.  Can you help?Email VoterReady.LWVCC@gmail.com and put "GOTV Volunteer" in the subject line. 

Share Voting and League Information at Community Events

LWVCC teams (Get Out the Vote, Voter Ready, and Youth Outreach and Civic Engagement) are organizing community events to encourage voting in the primary election.   Read about the events below and click the red button to sign up. You can pick the dates, events and times that work best for you.

June 4: 5K Fun Walk/Run, 8:00 am - 11:00 am, Meadowbrook Park. Hosted by our local partner organization Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority to benefit their scholarship fund and share health information with everyone who attends. We'll be shring information about voting  
 
June 11 and June 18: Urbana Farmers’ Market, 7:30 am--12:00 noon. We’ll be sharing League information along with information about voting options. 
 
June 25: MLK Jettie Rhodes Day,12:00 noon - 4:00 pm, King Park, rain or shine. This day is all about giving back to the community with fun, family, networking, and a diverse atmosphere. Many community groups will be represented—and there’ll be lots of stands with food and kids’ activities. All are welcome! We’ll be hosting a table and sharing League information along with encouraging early and election-day voting.
