The League of Women Voters of Champaign County holds several recurring series of meetings and events. The individual events are listed on the Calendar and on the home page under News & Announcements.
Timely Topics (Public)
Timely Topics is a educational program that provides information and generates discussion about current local and state issues. The one-hour Zoom events take place on the second Wednesday of the month at noon. Registration is required to attend. See the League's Calendar for information how to register. Sessions will be recorded and made available on the League’s YouTube channel as well as announced on this website.

League Office Hours (Members and Public on Request)
LWVCC offers half-hour "office hours" on Zoom. Each session covers current LWVCC activities and puts a spotlight on a basic aspect of League basics. Members receive a Zoom invitation just before the meeting. The public may contact the person listed in the League's Calendar to request a Zoom invitation.
League Office Hours are usually scheduled on the third Wednesday of each month, 12:00 - 12:30 pm. Some sessions are recorded for posting on the League's YouTube channel. Check the LWVCC Calendar for dates. |
A Conversation with the League (Members and Public on Request)
Periodically the League will schedule Zoom discussions with public figures to respond to current community issues. These conversations are presentations followed by question and answers.
Watch the LWVCC Calendar for announcements of presentations. Some presentations are recorded for the LWVCC YouTube channel where they are available for public viewing. League members receive information on attending shortly before each event. The public may contact the person listed in the Calendar to request a Zoom invitation. |
League Book Club (LWVCC Members and Public on Request)
League members meet to discuss books on current topics related to the League's scope. Previous books discussed were:
Earlier book club meetings were held in person, often in a library setting. For these meetings, the public was invited to attend. As pandemic restrictions allow, the League Book Club anticipates again returning to a public, in-person setting. |
