While the health of voters and that of their communities is paramount,LWVIL still encourages voters to exercise their right to vote! There are many ways for voters to participate in elections while mitigating their risk of exposure.
You can:
- Plan to early vote, where voter crowds may be smaller throughout the day. This minimizes the number of individuals a voter may come in contact with. (Deadline is March 16, 2020)
- On Election Day, plan to arrive at your polling location during off-peak times. For example, if voter crowds are lighter mid-morning, bring your prepared Illinois Voter Guide ballot for a quick and easy voting experience.
Early Voting Information for Champaign County
You can vote early now at a number of Early Voting locations. Here's a document that lists all of them, along with the dates and hours of their operation.

February 2, 2020
Kitchen Table is an event for new and existing League members as well as volunteers and those who are just curious from the general public.
There will be a workshop on “Helping Friends Vote Local”. The March 17th Primary Election is quickly approaching, and many people still do not know who is running or why it matters. Some people don't even know the election is coming up. As such, the voter turnout is expected to be quite low. But you can help change that. We’ll discuss information, resources, and tools that can help make the voting process easy for you & your friends. The information we provide is non-partisan, and we don't endorse any candidates. This information will be useful for anyone that wants to know more about the upcoming local election.
Once business is done, we’ll connect with friends & allies over coffee or drinks in downtown Champaign at “Neil St Blues” (301 N Neil St).
