Election Judges: Learn About Serving
Visit this page for an insight into serving as an Election Judge. Illinois election judges are community volunteers representing both major political parties as required by the Illinois Election Code. The  LWVCC Voter Ready team asked former election judges from both major parties to comment on their experience.

See the Champaign County Clerk's page on Election Judges for information on qualifications, duties, and more.

Radio Public Service Announcements
See the Radio PSA page  for a  series of radio Public Service Announcements (PSAs) developed by LWVCC members to announce election-related dates and information. These were created in 2022 and are available for download and use. Both 15- and 30-second items are available. Users may change the years or type of election (primary or general) mentioned in each PSA so the text is current.

News Media
As election day approaches, local news media are likely to have stories on candidates and include debates among them. Local news media also have stories on preliminary after-election results.

Click the icons to the right to go to the local news media website.

Reminder: All election results are preliminary until officially certified by the local election authority 14 days after the election. During those 2 weeks, election authorities process all mail ballots that were postmarked on time, resolve signature or other issues, and confirm any provisional ballots.

Youth Video and Graphics
Visit the Youth Video and Graphics page for a collection of videos and graphics developed by and for youth, originally created in 2020. These items were developed to encourage high schoolers/youth to participate in the election, including registering, voting and serving as election judges.  Everyone is encouraged to share them  on social media, embed them on on websites and otherwise use them to encourage youth registration, voting and turnout. Also see the Youth Outreach and Civic Engagement page for more information on this LWVCC team's activities.

Misinformation about Elections
Visit the Misinformation about Elections page to learn about misinformation in elections and to see some useful tools and presentations. This page is produced by the Misinformation Task Force in LWVCC. The  Task Force seeks bolster confidence in the democratic process by getting the facts out and educating the community about voting and elections. The goal will be to share accurate information widely, ideally before misinformation can take hold.
