What the League of Women Voters Does
Register Voters
The League of Women Voters of Champaign County is one of the most active organizations committed to getting our local citizens registered to vote! We offer voter registration drives in the local community, ensuring voting is as accessible as possible. To make voting accessible, we offer a variety of Voter and Volunteer Resources.
Educate Voters
The League of Women Voters of Champaign County coordinates live, local candidate debates for local, State, and national elections and to address community issues; community forums on local social, environmental, and political issues.
Activate Voters
The League of Women Voters of Champaign County works tirelessly toward our goal of "making democracy work" by increasing political participation in our community--through getting community members connected to local issues, offering opportunities to share give public input, and connecting voters to their representatives. Our goal is simple: help ensure democracy through educating and supporting each citizen's political participation.

- "Where We Stand 2019-21" - This is the platform of the LWVIL, that in companionship with Impact on Issues, forms the basis for all action taken by the Illinois Leagues on state and national issues and the League Principles.
- LWVIL: Issues Report This is the quarterly report that describe the latest developments in LWVIL issues, Illinois policy-making and the tools you can use to take action and make a difference. Look up at the top right-hand side. There’s a small button that says “Join Email List.”
