LWVCC Voter Services Fundraising Update

Picture
Thanks to the continued generosity of our members, the Voter Services team has now raised $5,950 toward our League’s $15,000 goal! These funds will greatly enhance our ability to expand voter education and engagement. Two purchases are already in the pipeline:
  • Chromebooks for onsite voter registration events, and
  • MTD "back-of-the-bus" ads to promote voting in the April 4 municipal election.

With guidance from the League’s Fundraising team, we’ll soon begin approaching individuals, local organizations, and businesses who share our commitment to civic engagement to request their financial support for this initiative. If you have contacts who might be interested in getting involved in this effort, please let us know by emailing VoterReady.LWVCC@gmail.com.
Thank you to everyone who has already contributed! And, if you have not yet done so, you can still send a check with Voter Services Fund in the memo line to:

Lessons from the Edge: A Memoir by Marie Yovanovitch
Join moderator Cathy Emanuel and other LWVCC members at the Champaign Public Library on Thursday, January 19 from 7 to 8 pm to discuss Lessons from the Edge: A Memoir by Marie Yovanovitch.
Lessons from the Edge is an inspiring and fascinating memoir by the former U.S. ambassador to Ukraine—a pioneering diplomat who spent her career advancing democracy in the post-Soviet world. Marie Yovanovitch recounts her career in public service and the experience of testifying during President Trump’s first impeachment. Madeleine Albright calls Yovanovitch's memoir "essential reading for current policymakers, aspiring diplomats, and anyone who cares about America’s role in the world."

The Champaign Public Library is located at 200 W. Green Street in Champaign.
