Event Series

The League of Women Voters of Champaign County  holds several recurring series of programs and meetings. The individual events are listed on the Calendar, the website home page and often in the  LWVCC Events Blog and on social media (Facebook, Instagram).

Keeping It Local (Public)

Keeping It Local: A Champaign County Deep Dive on Issues  is a educational program that provides information and generates discussion about current local issues, with local presenters.   See the League's Calendar for exact dates and information on how to register. Sessions will be recorded and made available on the League’s YouTube channel.  Note: These sessions were previously called "Timely Topics".

In the Know - League Updates (Members)

Picture
In the Know: Around the League in 30 Minutes are half-hour sessions for League members to learn about current and future activities and to have the opportunity to meet fellow League members. Members receive email invitations ahead of the meeting, which are on the second Wednesday of the month. These sessions were previously called LWVCC Office Hours.

Coffee and Conversation (Members)

At these get togethers, League members spend an hour with fellow members to enjoy coffee and spirited discussion on various topics. Members receive details just before the meetings.

League Reading Club (LWVCC Members and Public)

League members meet  3 times a year to discuss either a book or a few articles on a topic of interest. As the meeting date approaches, details are sent to League members; the pubic may also attend. The meetings are announced in League's newsletter The Voter, on the LWVCC Calendar and often on the website and in social media.  Reading Club meetings may be held in a local library setting or online.

The next title to be discussed in
October is Divided We Fall by David French.
