Voters! Information on Champaign County ReferendumsChampaign County voters will be asked to decide on two key referendums in the upcoming 2024 General Election.

More detail on the public safety sales tax is available on the Champaign County Public Safety website. Information opposing the public safety sales tax can be found at https://www.ucimc.org/salestax. LWVCC does not have a position on this issue. More detail on the eliminating the auditor position is available in the slides from the LWVCC portion of the Voter Information Program. The slides provide some history of the auditor role and a number of reasons for eliminating the position. LWVCC Position on Auditor Question - LWVCC recommends a "Yes" vote to eliminate the Auditor position. The recommendation is based on a 2022 County Governance Task Force Analysis, conducted by LWVCC. The analysis explored a number of changes in county governance. Below are links to the final report and supporting appendices from that analysis. Voters!
