The Champaign County Clerk and Recorder’s office urged patience as “connectivity issues and server performance” slowed down voting at some polling locations on election day. The Clerk attributed the problems to cyber attacks on the network and servers.
Champaign County is one of three out of 108 election jurisdictions in the state where voters can vote at any polling place. A “custom ballot” is printed out on the spot for each voter, which might also have been a factor in the delays at some locations. Comments are closed.
