Now available are several radio Public Service Announcements (PSAs) for voting. The PSAs were developed by LWVCC Voter Ready team members Joan Volkman and Sara Kelley, with assistance from Voter Ready co-chair Ann Prisland and from Elizabeth Hess, host of the podcast I Have to Ask. On June 24, the League of Women Voters of the United States President Dr. Deborah Turner and CEO Virginia Kase Solomón issued a joint statement in response to the 6 – 3 Supreme Court decision of Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization. The decision overturns the constitutional right to abortion as recognized for nearly 50 years in the landmark cases of Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood v.
