Video: Trauma's Impact on the CU Community Feb 9

On February 9, LWVCC's Timely Topic series featured a presentation by Karen Simms, Founding Director of Trauma and Resilience Initiative, Inc.  This video is now available on LWVCC's YouTube site .   

 ​The trauma created in our community by gun violence and the pandemic makes this topic especially timely. Karen Simms is a community leader, therapist and nationally recognized presenter who addresses the root causes of community violence and focuses on coalition building and integrated care and wellness. She received the “Freedom Fighter” award from the CU chapter of the NAACP in 2019.
