A consortium of five local civic organizations and the News-Gazette joined together to hold a town hall-type forum on February 26, from 1:30-5:30, for all candidates in the races for Champaign mayor, Champaign City Council, and Champaign Unit 4 School Board.
The consortium consists of League of Women Voters of Champaign County, ILVOTE of Champaign County, NAACP Champaign County Branch, Bend the Arc Jewish Action: Champaign-Urbana, and Indivisible Rural Illinois. The forum took place at the Champaign Public Library, Robeson Rooms A and B. The three municipal races each had their own block of time for prepared statements from all the candidates and a moderated Q&A session.
