On August 31, 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm,  LWVCC will have a conversation with Nikita Richards, Planned Parenthood of Illinois. Join the conversation  to learn how Planned.Join the conversation to learn how Planned Parenthood of Illinois is handling the new demands on its services and its plans for the future in the aftermath of the Dobbs decision. There will be time for questions. Ms. Richards, a US Navy Veteran, currently serves as Community Relations Manager for the city of Bloomington.

In 2019 Nikita Richards was appointed to the Illinois Council on Women and Girls, where she works alongside Lt. Governor Stratton on behalf of women and girls across Illinois to create policy that promotes equity and opportunity. She continues to serve on the Council as Chair of Leadership and Inclusion and as a member of the Academic and Economic Opportunity Committee. In 2022, Ms. Richards was recognized by the U.S House of Representatives for her leadership accomplishments. In addition, she was inducted into the Illinois State University College of Arts & Sciences Hall of Fame.
